International Coalition discusses Iraq after US exit

The meeting held in Rome between the United States and Italy discussed the importance of supporting Iraq and Syria's capabilities in fighting ISIS, especially following the U.S. withdrawal from Iraq after 23 years. The participants emphasized the need to enhance both countries' abilities to target the organization and to strengthen security and governmental institutions to prevent its return. Financial commitments exceeding 75 million dollars were made to support anti-terrorism efforts and to maintain services and humanitarian conditions in the region. The coalition statement also highlighted the successes of "Operation Determined Path" in weakening ISIS and focusing on countering the organization's threats, while expressing concerns about the presence of potential fighters inside Syria who could pose a security threat to Iraq if they cross the border.
