Israeli effort to target Khalifa Sinwar

An Israeli attack targeted a residential apartment in Gaza, believed to have been an attempt to assassinate Ali Al-Amoudi, a companion of Yahya Sinwar and his potential successor. The attack resulted in the death of five people, including four women. Israeli sources stated that the attack was aimed at the apartment where Al-Amoudi was present, and there are strong chances that he did not survive, although Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not officially confirm the operation as is customary. Hamas responded to the bombing by condemning it as a "new crime."
