Ruhollah Iraqi denies Iranian diplomat expulsion
The Iranian Foreign Ministry denied American claims of expelling Iranian diplomats from the United States after the United Nations General Assembly meetings in September, confirming that all Iranian diplomats departed on time except for one. The Iranian official described the American allegations of expulsion as inappropriate and indicative of desperation, contradicting the host country's obligations to the United Nations. These statements come amid mediator efforts to reach an agreement between Iran and the U.S. to end the ongoing conflict since February.
