Lincoln's return journey nears completion

Satellite images and open-source reports track the movement of the U.S. aircraft carrier "USS Abraham Lincoln," which has departed the Gulf Sea and is heading towards the West Coast of the United States after more than 10 months of deployment in the region, most of which were within the operational area of the U.S. Central Command in the Middle East. The carrier was positioned off the Baja Peninsula in California in October 2026, after crossing the Pacific Ocean, and its participation in support operations has been documented, with its Automatic Identification System signal still being broadcast. Its return comes amid a decline in U.S. naval deployment in the Middle East and the movement of other naval groups toward the region, as part of rotation and reallocation of American military forces, after spending 200 days in a combat zone and conducting over 10,000 sorties during its operations.
