Alliance Details Hodeidah Military Operation

The Saudi-led Arab Coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen announced that it had thwarted a plan to carry out imminent attacks targeting the waterways south of the Red Sea. The coalition's naval forces carried out an operation to destroy military targets belonging to the Houthis in Hudaydah, which included weapons warehouses, suicide boats, and sea mines. This effort comes as part of the broader goal to safeguard maritime security in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. Meanwhile, Yemeni government forces announced that they had recaptured key positions near the strait in an attempt to regain control of the area from the Houthis. These statements indicate an escalation in military activity aimed at reducing the Houthis' influence over the strait, a vital trade corridor. There are also speculation about strategic military operations against Sanaa, although the accuracy of some claims or the declared gains by either side cannot be officially verified.
