Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkey to Advance Joint Defense

Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkey have decided to immediately move forward with the practical implementation of their joint defense commitments within the "Mecca Defense Pact," which includes providing troops and military capabilities and rapidly deploying them in the Kingdom. This decision came after an urgent meeting to discuss security threats and incidents, including attempts to target Mecca and Medina. The retired Pakistani team leader, Noman Mahmood, has been appointed Secretary-General of the alliance for a three-year term. The three countries reaffirmed that the security of each is part of collective security, condemning the Houthi attacks and the ongoing assaults on civilian targets in Saudi Arabia. The defense agreement signed in August stipulates that any attack on one of the three nations is considered an attack on all, and the measures aim to enhance readiness and military integration to confront these threats.
