Syrian youth's pilgrimage dreams blocked

The article centers around the young Syrian, Abdullah Hamoud Al-Naif, attempting to undertake a foot journey from Deir ez-Zor to Mecca to perform Hajj. He based this on a vision he had in a dream, during which the Prophet Muhammad appeared to him and instructed him to do so. Although he crossed several provinces, his journey was halted at the Jordanian border due to local border procedures and a dispute over whether Saudi authorities would allow him to continue. Sheikh Mahmoud Al-Sharif announced that Saudi Arabia stopped his trip to prevent "innovation and sedition," which sparked widespread reactions from both supporters and critics. To this day, Al-Naif is still awaiting permission to cross, and sources confirmed that the journey was not completed and that he has been returned to Syria.
