Macron supervises ICBM nuclear test

French President Emmanuel Macron oversaw a test of a transcontinental ballistic missile of the "M51.3" type, capable of carrying nuclear warheads, launched from the "Le Vigilant" submarine off the coast of Brittany. Macron confirmed that the test demonstrates France's nuclear deterrence strength, and he hinted at expanding France's nuclear capabilities and increasing the number of nuclear warheads in its arsenal in the coming years, amid rising geopolitical tensions, especially the threats from Russia. This test affirms France's ability to maintain a nuclear balance of power, supported by a strategy to modernize defense capabilities to ensure the country’s long-term security.
