2200 militants' family members remain in Kurdish camp

The Roj Camp in northeastern Syria holds more than 2,200 people from the families of ISIS fighters, most of whom are of foreign nationalities. It is currently under Kurdish administration despite the signing of an integration agreement with the Syrian government at the beginning of the year. Reports indicate that transferring the management of the camp to Syrian authorities will take time due to the complex humanitarian and political situations, as well as overlapping issues with multiple countries that refuse to repatriate the detainees. This comes as part of efforts to integrate Kurdish institutions into the Syrian state, following an escalation in military clashes with Damascus and the elimination of SDF forces, amid ongoing challenges related to detainees and security conditions within the camp.
