Al-Qassam's Impact After 107 Days in Gaza

The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, released footage documenting battles that lasted 107 days in northern Gaza Strip between October 2024 and April 2025. These clashes were part of the confrontation against Israel's "Generals' Plan," which aimed to take control of the area by evacuating residents and imposing a comprehensive siege. During the battles, ambushes and homemade explosive devices were used, in addition to targeted strikes against tanks and troop carriers, along with operations inside tunnels against Israeli forces. The commander of the northern division of al-Qassam, Az-ZzaDin al-Bayk, confirmed that fighting continued despite the siege until the very end and announced his martyrdom in 2026. The footage displayed fierce resistance from al-Qassam fighters and showed that residents of northern Gaza refused to leave, preventing the Israeli plan from successfully eliminating resistance groups and seizing control of the region.
