Democrat probes Kushner's Israeli investments

The article discusses an investigation conducted by CNN into Jared Kushner's investments, former U.S. President Donald Trump's son-in-law, and his role as a peace envoy in the Middle East, particularly in Gaza. The investigation revealed that a company owned by Kushner is the largest shareholder in an Israeli firm that provides military services, and that there are financial gains linked to increased demand for military equipment amid rising tensions in Gaza. The reports also raise questions about a potential conflict of interest between his commercial investments and his diplomatic work. Democrats have pointed to the possibility that he may have exploited his influence for financial gains, while Kushner has denied that he intervenes in the decision-making of the companies involved. The investigation highlights concerns about the overlap between business interests and his peace efforts, with fears that his profits may have been affected or increased as a result of events in Gaza—although no direct evidence has been found to suggest that this influenced official policy.
