Egypt dismisses Smotrich's Sinai remarks

Egypt firmly responded to Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich's statements in which he threatened that Sinai would no longer exist if Israel were attacked by Egypt. Cairo described these remarks as empty threats and an attempt to achieve electoral aims. Egypt emphasized that these statements are part of an incitement and empty escalation, reaffirming its commitment to protect its lands and independence. The international community is aware of Israel's occupation responsibilities in making life difficult for Gaza's residents and supports Egypt's stance against any violation of its sovereignty or interference in Sinai's situation.
