Trump to award Elon Musk top science honor
The White House announced that U.S. President Donald Trump intends to honor Elon Musk with the highest scientific medal, the National Science Medal, during a ceremony on Thursday. The event will also include recognition of other figures such as Sergey Brin, Jensen Huang, and Lisa Su. This is in appreciation of their contributions to science and technology, and to acknowledge Musk's efforts through his companies SpaceX, Tesla, and X. The relationship between Trump and Musk had previously been strained over government expenses, but they have recently resumed cooperation. Musk was also present at White House meetings regarding artificial intelligence.
