Saudi Civil Defense reports missile interception damages

Riyadh witnessed the Civil Defense forces intercepting a ballistic missile launched by the Houthi group. Shrapnel from the missile fell in several areas, including a kindergarten and a medical clinics complex, causing material damage with no reports of injuries. The Arab Coalition clarified that it intercepted and destroyed three ballistic missiles launched by the group toward the Kingdom, including one that targeted Riyadh Airport, which disrupted air traffic. Although the Houthis claimed to have accurately hit the target, Saudi Arabia did not confirm this. This comes amid a military escalation in Yemen, where the Houthis launched Operation "Fajr Yemen" with the aim of regaining control of the capital, Sana'a, and ending the coup. Clashes continue, and the Houthis have made advances in strategic areas since early September 2023, following an escalation that began in July 2023.
