The "United Democracy Project" committee, associated with the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), has launched a spending campaign against Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate in Michigan, with an initial investment of $94,000. This effort is part of a broader campaign in which approximately $30 million was previously spent against him due to his criticisms of Israel. El-Sayed won the Democratic primary in August and is now facing Republican Mike Rogers in the upcoming general election in November. The financial support and media control indicate an escalation of efforts to oppose him, although AIPAC has not responded to requests for comment.
