Mourinho silent on Vinicius ejection
José Mourinho, the Real Madrid coach, refrained from giving a statement in the press conference after his team's 1-0 victory over Villarreal due to the anger he felt following Vinicius Jr.'s red card during the match. Mourinho wanted to avoid making comments that could lead to penalties from the Spanish Football Federation, especially regarding the refereeing and the player's conduct. Such a punishment could result in a two-match suspension for Vinicius, threatening his availability for upcoming games against Sevilla and Barcelona. This decision came amid the coach's frustration over the red card decision and concerns about refereeing decisions. He is expected to appear in the media again before the Champions League match against Roma.
