Bayern Explains Neuer's Absence in Champions League
Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany confirmed that veteran goalkeeper Manuel Neuer will miss the team's upcoming match against Viking in the Champions League, due to a minor issue with his foot that led the technical staff to avoid risking his health. Neuer felt something in his foot and hasn't trained for the past two days, prompting the coaching staff to decide to exclude him to ensure the condition doesn't worsen. Jonas Öberg, 23 years old, will be relied upon to guard the goal; he is continuously developing and is viewed as the team's future. This situation comes days after Neuer committed an unusual mistake during a league match, but management emphasized that his absence is not related to his technical performance. Bayern is prepared for the game under good conditions, although some players like Jamal Musiala continue to be absent due to injury.
