Japanese stocks react to tensions
The Japanese stock market experienced a significant decline, with the Nikkei index dropping by 2.64% to 67,206.79 points. This was driven by a decline in artificial intelligence company stocks following a drop in American chip stocks, along with increased geopolitical tensions that prompted investors to steer clear of risks. Additionally, the Topix index decreased by 0.56%, and the US Nasdaq index fell by 0.44%, both impacted by declines in the technology sector's stocks. Concerns about the effects of American policies and tensions in the Middle East and Ukraine on the Japanese market also contributed to the decline.
