Sudan faces new displacement and shortages

The main part of the article focuses on the humanitarian situation in a long area of Sudan, where over nine days, 557 displaced families, totaling approximately 2,199 people, have been received due to escalating conflicts and ongoing violence. The displacement has led to a sharp deterioration in health and nutritional conditions, with the spread of diseases such as dengue fever, malaria, typhoid, and malnutrition, especially among children. The causes of displacement include drought, failure of the agricultural season, deteriorating food security, and rising prices. The United Nations and humanitarian organizations have issued an urgent call for the provision of basic aid, support for healthcare facilities, and a ceasefire to protect civilians.
