Michael Owen comments on Liverpool transfers and Carrick
Michael Owen criticized Liverpool's management for the team's poor performance and spending money in the summer transfer market without making a noticeable impact, particularly driven by the team's declining results and their ninth-place standing with 9 points after losing to Manchester City. He expressed dissatisfaction with the club's management approach, especially given the injuries and the failure to properly replace Mohamed Salah. Owen indicated that the team's performance has not lived up to expectations. Conversely, Owen supported Manchester United's interim coach, Michael Carrick, believing he has demonstrated competence and has successfully improved the team's performance recently, despite the criticism and pressure he faces.
