Heavy rains reveal Libyan capital infrastructure

Due to heavy rainfall, Tripoli suffered extensive damage to its infrastructure, with water flooding streets, homes, and vehicles. It led to the closure of main roads and disrupted public and banking services. The accumulation of water caused floods and increased traffic congestion, resulting in the death of an employee from an electrical shock. Public facilities such as the National Museum and the Sports City were also damaged. Authorities emphasized the necessity of repairing drainage systems and improving infrastructure to better cope with future rains, amid criticisms of the current state of services and the weak readiness of the networks.
