Sisi affirms commitment to state stability
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi affirmed that preserving the state and its institutions is a top priority, warning that similar disturbances to those of 2011 could threaten Egypt's stability and continuity. He explained that governance by a single authority or organization has led to resource depletion, and that the cost of the war on terrorism has exceeded 120 billion Egyptian pounds. He also emphasized that Gulf security is an integral part of Egypt's national security, and that Egypt supports efforts to de-escalate tensions and restore stability in the region, while reaffirming Egypt's commitment to a two-state solution to achieve a just and lasting peace.
