Trump’s new spokesperson falters on debut
The White House faced questions about the qualifications of its new spokesperson, Katie Zakaria, following her debut which experienced some difficulties in the role. There was no record to confirm that she holds a license to practice law in any U.S. state, and the California Bar Association stated that there is no evidence of her being licensed. Zakaria introduced herself as an attorney and legal advisor without official verification, and questions arose regarding the basis of her passing the bar exam. She confirmed that she received training in China, despite the fact that foreigners are ineligible to take the bar exam there. Despite the controversy, Trump praised her performance.
