Turkey criticizes Colombia's Jerusalem embassy
The article focused on condemning Turkey's reaction to Colombia's decision to move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, and called for Colombia to reconsider this decision. Turkey affirmed that the move violates United Nations resolutions and the International Court of Justice, which deem Israeli occupation and the annexation of East Jerusalem as illegal. Turkey also urges countries not to take actions that disturb the legal and historical balance of the city. Additionally, Turkey clarified that East Jerusalem is an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territories and emphasized the need to establish an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in order to achieve a just and comprehensive peace in the region.
