Barron to Trump message hints at ceasefire

The article focused on Sudanese Sovereign Council Chairman Abdel Fattah al-Burhan's attempt to send a message to U.S. President Donald Trump, in which he affirms Sudan's government's commitment to the peace efforts sponsored by the United States. However, the message did not include an explicit approval of the proposed ninety-day humanitarian truce. This move aims to reintroduce Sudan's government's demands in a more flexible manner, while opening the door for negotiations on a ceasefire and facilitating aid delivery, amidst internal and external pressures on al-Burhan. The step is considered a sign of a possible diplomatic move, despite differing reactions. Some experts see it as an attempt to ease U.S. pressures and quietly arrange internal matters.
