India detains Cockroach Movement founder

The article discusses the Indian police arresting Abhijeet Deppki, founder of the Kookroach movement, to prevent him from organizing a protest march in New Delhi. Protesters demanded the resignation of the Election Commission chief due to changes in the voter lists that resulted in over 130 million voters being removed, amid accusations that the process was politicized by the Bharatiya Janata Party. The movement is considered one of the biggest political challenges to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his party, as its protests have previously led to the resignation of the Minister of Education.
