El-Sissi: 2030 ends my rule, no relative as president

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's statements focused on reaffirming that the Egyptian constitution will not be amended, and that his term will definitively end in 2030. He rejected any discussions about a relative of his taking power. He clarified that Egypt will continue implementing its development plans despite the challenges, and that future leadership will be selected through a qualification and training process involving groups of competent individuals and youth to ensure the state's continuity and stability. He also emphasized the importance of adhering to the principles of peaceful transfer of power, stating that the decision of who governs is left to the people, and highlighted the need to strengthen state institutions and prevent hereditary succession or constitutional modifications that could fragment national unity.
