Saudi Arabia postpones investment forum

It has been decided to postpone the "Future Investment Initiative" forum, known as "Davos of the Desert," which was scheduled to take place in Riyadh in late October 2026, due to the escalating attacks carried out by the Houthis supported by Iran against the Kingdom. The attacks included targeting Riyadh Airport and local military bases, resulting in the deaths of more than 50 people and injuries to over 200. Additionally, more than 45% of flights were canceled, and missile and drone strikes were executed on military and civilian sites within Saudi Arabia. The Houthi group also launched six operations against Saudi targets within 48 hours in response to the Saudi-led aggression, amid warnings from Washington to its citizens about increasing security risks in the region.
