Brent crude market movement
Oil prices experienced a modest decline following previous increases, as markets assessed the potential suspension of some U.S. sanctions on Russian energy exports. Concerns remain about disruptions to Middle Eastern supplies due to attacks in Saudi Arabia and Yemen. Brent crude fell to around $109 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate decreased to approximately $103, despite Brent reaching its highest level since May at $110.70 earlier. A final decision from the Trump administration is awaited regarding the lifting of sanctions on Russian oil and gas. Meanwhile, Russia's oil purchases have increased to 8.43 million barrels per day in September, amid ongoing worries about the deterioration of the regional energy infrastructure.
