Nine people, including two Arabs, in human rights effort

An international human rights campaign launched by Amnesty International called "Write for Rights 2026" highlights the violations faced by human rights figures and activists around the world, including Egyptians, Tunisians, Malians, and Pakistanis. These violations include suppression of freedom of speech, arbitrary detention, and forced disappearances. The campaign includes providing educational resources to inform participants about the stories of the victims and to encourage solidarity through letter-writing and signing petitions, with the goal of pressuring governments to protect human rights and to release those detained arbitrarily. The initiative aims to turn solidarity into actionable steps to promote fundamental freedoms, focusing on issues such as false charges and arbitrary arrests faced by human rights figures in various countries.
