Palestinian govt warns of aid impact

The Palestinian government has warned of the serious humanitarian consequences of stopping the World Food Programme's assistance to nearly half a million Palestinians in Gaza due to a lack of funding. It confirmed that this decision threatens the continuity of relief aid, increases the suffering of impoverished families, widows, orphans, and the elderly, and leads to higher malnutrition rates among children and pregnant women. The government called on the United Nations and donor countries to provide the necessary funding to ensure the continuation of support, and urged Israeli authorities to open crossings and facilitate the flow of humanitarian supplies, as the number of beneficiaries receiving monthly aid has decreased from 1.6 million to 1.1 million people due to the funding shortage.
