Albanian PM Blames Hidden Hands for Violence
The statements made by Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama focused on the violence ongoing in Tirana for a week, involving thousands of protesters demanding his resignation. He described these events as part of a "multi-faceted war" in which hidden hands are knocking on the country's doors. These protests follow an increase in tuition fees and deteriorating university conditions, after initially being peaceful demonstrations against a resort project linked to former U.S. President Donald Trump's family. Rama emphasized that violence is being used in an attempt to destabilize the country, just before a solidarity march for students and academics is planned.
