Caroline Leavitt: Trump knows journalism
The article discussed the behaviors and statements of Caroline Leavitt, the former White House spokesperson, regarding her successor's selection following the exclusion of Katie Zakaria from the position less than a week after she assumed her duties. Leavitt clarified that President Trump emphasizes the importance of choosing a strong, intelligent individual with loyalty—someone capable of facing challenges—and that the final decision ultimately rests with him. She also mentioned that Zakaria was dismissed after underperforming at her first press conference, which lasted 14 minutes during which she answered only three questions, and she appeared tense in subsequent interviews, despite claiming to be a lawyer without passing the bar exam. Leavitt emphasized that the role of spokesperson requires extensive preparation, which Zakaria did not demonstrate, and she announced her disinterest in running for any future political office, stating that she is currently enjoying time with her family.
