The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment in the UAE announced the detection of marine pollution resulting from an oil spill from a tanker, which affected the beaches of Umm Al Quwain and led to an unpleasant smell appearing in Sharjah and Ajman. The ministry confirmed that the odors do not pose health risks, and specialized teams have begun cleaning and treatment operations to mitigate the environmental impact, with ongoing marine surveys. The affected beaches have been temporarily closed, and the ministry called on fishermen and sailors to adhere to the instructions, promising to continue updating the public with the latest developments.
