The article focused on the experience of American photographer Heidi Levin, who was brutally attacked by Israeli settlers in the West Bank while covering the olive harvest season. This incident deepened her understanding of the suffering endured by Palestinian women and children under the weight of violence. Levin detailed the attack, which began with settlers setting olive trees on fire, using tear gas, firing live bullets, and physically assaulting her, including injuries that required surgical intervention. She also refuted statements made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the footage showing the incident, asserting that the assault was unjustifiably violent. The article highlights the ongoing daily attacks on Palestinian farmers and the increasing violence as settlement expansion continues. It also draws attention to the lack of justice for Palestinian victims amid escalating violations and the growth of illegal settlement outposts since the start of the olive harvest season, further risking the worsening of the situation in the region.
