Washington supports global bio labs

The Director of the U.S. National Intelligence has announced the discovery of new documents revealing that over 120 biological laboratories in more than 30 countries, including Ukraine, are receiving funding from the U.S. government. The documents indicate that some of these labs have been conducting research on dangerous pathogens, including “gain-of-function” studies, amidst weak oversight and supervision. Funding for “gain-of-function” research was halted under an executive order issued in May 2025 due to concerns over its health and security implications.
