Shell readies first phase Loran export

Shell, the British oil company, announced in collaboration with the Trinidad and Tobago government that an agreement has been signed to explore and export natural gas from the Laurent Field in Venezuela. The field contains approximately 48 billion cubic meters of gas in its initial phase, which will be processed in Trinidad and Tobago. This agreement is considered an important step in strengthening Venezuela’s gas sector and supporting Trinidad and Tobago's economy, following the Venezuelan government granting Shell a license under a new law that reduces the state's role in the oil sector.
