Students of United Arab Emirates University developed an experimental study related to the motion of harmonic oscillations and the effects of microgravity. The experiment was conducted aboard the International Space Station with the assistance of astronaut Christopher Williams, as part of the "Asian Try Zero-G 2025" competition led by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). The participation came after a team of six students and a supervisor was selected from 74 students representing eight universities in a competitive contest that included 17 proposals. The UAE’s team competed against 10 other teams from nine countries at the global event. The experiment focused on analyzing motion deceleration in a microgravity environment to support understanding of mechanical systems and the development of space applications. These achievements are part of a national strategy to build future space talent and to foster scientific research and innovation in the country.
