IMO starts Gulf sailor evacuations

The International Maritime Organization has begun implementing a plan to evacuate approximately 11,000 sailors from ships stranded in the Gulf region, following an agreement reached to ceasefire between the United States and Iran. The organization has contacted the ships to initiate evacuation operations, amid easing regional tensions and the gradual reopening of shipping routes in the Gulf.
