Syria partners with ConocoPhillips for gas production

The Syrian Petroleum Company has signed agreements with ConocoPhillips and Novatera to develop new gas fields and expand production in Syria, aimed at improving the stability of the electricity network and boosting economic recovery. These commitments are part of efforts to restore gas production, which had declined to three billion cubic meters in 2023, compared to 8.7 billion cubic meters in 2011.
