Moroccan justice faces severe congestion
Sources have reported that the crisis facing the legal profession in Morocco is escalating after failed dialogue sessions between the Ministry of Justice and the Bar Associations' Union to reach an agreement on the profession's draft law. The associations assert that the current draft does not meet their demands and threatens the sector's independence. This comes at a time when the parliament is reviewing the bill despite widespread opposition from lawyers, leading to increased protests, growing tensions within the sector, and creating friction between the government and stakeholders in the justice system.
