South Africa Restates Support for Sahrawi
Political and union forces in South Africa expressed their full support for the Sahrawi people's struggle for freedom and independence during a session of the Metal and Energy Union "NUM" in Johannesburg. Participants, including party and union leaders, emphasized the justice of the Sahrawi people's cause and their right to self-determination. They condemned the Moroccan military occupation of the Sahrawi territories, which is illegal under international law, and reaffirmed their support for their struggle to complete the decolonization of the region. The meeting was attended by the Sahrawi Republic's ambassador to South Africa, along with union and Sahrawi leaders.
