The Algerian Ministry of Culture and Arts expressed its satisfaction following the adoption of a decision by the World Heritage Committee acknowledging Algeria's efforts in protecting the archaeological site of Tipasa. This took place during the 48th session of the Committee held in South Korea, where a management plan for the period 2025-2030 was prepared and implemented to enhance the site's management and safeguarding. Progress was also made in documentation, maintenance, and cleaning campaigns, alongside strengthening security and infrastructure through the installation of fences and the initiation of studies to rehabilitate certain landmarks. The ministry is committed to implementing the technical recommendations, including improving the lighting system, protecting the marine area, and monitoring financial resources, with a progress report to be submitted by December 2028. These efforts aim to preserve the authenticity of the site as an integral part of Algeria's national and historical identity.
