The pedagogical reforms announced by the Ministry of National Education for the 2026/2027 academic year focus on improving the quality of education across different levels. At the primary level, students will learn at least two foreign languages, with an emphasis on learning English starting from the third year and using French from the fourth year. In middle school, the same teaching pattern will continue, with an increase in hours dedicated to English. As for high school, a core curriculum system will be implemented without removing any subjects, with content distributed over the first and second years, an expanded focus on teaching specialized subjects, and the addition of information technology as a subject for scientific branches, with a particular emphasis on English in technical disciplines.
