Nighttime waterfront security efforts
The relevant authorities are conducting ongoing field interventions along the beaches of Algiers to maintain their cleanliness during the summer season. These efforts focus on removing waste and seaweeds that accumulate due to rising temperatures, which affect visitors' comfort. The operations include cleaning the sands, removing seaweeds and marine plants, and sifting the sand to improve the overall quality of the beaches and accommodate large numbers of visitors, especially during peak times. These initiatives are part of a permanent program involving civil society, with an emphasis on raising awareness about not littering and respecting trash bins to ensure a clean tourist environment.
