Evening – Urgent Calls to Free Sahrawi Detainees
The article highlights the worsening health and humanitarian situation of Sahrawi political detainees in Moroccan occupation prisons, where the risks of their deaths are increasing due to hunger strikes, solitary confinement, and being denied medical treatment and contact with their families. International movements, especially Spanish solidarity efforts, continue to demand the protection of their rights and the implementation of UN resolutions that accuse the Moroccan occupation of torture and of refusing to comply with international laws. The article also includes urgent calls from the families of the detainees and human rights organizations to take action to save the lives of the prisoners, amidst warnings of deteriorating health conditions and lack of proper medical care. The Irish government reaffirmed its support for the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination, calling for an end to abuses and the safeguarding of prisoners' rights, while emphasizing the need for united international efforts to put an end to the unjust detention.
