Algerian PM reviews harvest progress

The Algerian Prime Minister, Saïd Gharib, chaired a remote video conference to assess the current harvest season, which faced logistical and organizational challenges due to large-scale areas and unprecedented levels of production in decades. Proactive measures were taken to maximize the use of agricultural machinery, including strengthening the national fleet, which comprises around 10,000 harvesters, and training agricultural cooperatives in mechanization. These efforts yielded good results in reducing the duration of the harvest campaign, and it is recommended that it be completed before August 10, 2026.
