Minister of National Education Mohamed Sghir Seddaui reviewed the new pedagogical arrangements for the 2026/2027 academic year, which aim to improve the quality of education and training. The modifications included reducing the primary education curricula, introducing English language instruction starting from the third year, gradually strengthening French language instruction from the fourth year, and increasing English teaching hours in middle school. In secondary education, subjects were reorganized without deletion, and the hours allocated to core subjects were expanded, while the comprehensive core system was maintained. It was reaffirmed that examinations will encompass all subjects scheduled for the final year of high school. These reforms aim to enhance scientific and technical knowledge while preserving national identity and facilitating future university specializations.
