African-Mediterranean Cultural Festival Launched
The Ministry of Culture and Arts has announced the establishment of the African-Mediterranean International Cultural Festival of Thought, which resulted from high-level discussions held during the African-Mediterranean meetings. It will serve as a permanent platform to promote civilizational dialogue among African and Mediterranean peoples. The festival aims to revive shared cultural heritage and affirm that the African-Mediterranean realm is a civilizational space requiring an institution to organize and support its ongoing interactions. Its activities will be held annually across various regions of Algeria to ensure their broader impact. This decision reflects a vision of a country proud of its history of intercultural communication, and committed to culture and thought as two means to enhance awareness and build bridges between peoples.
