Spain Urges Morocco to Clarify Ceuta Incident
Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles called for a thorough investigation into the events that took place in Ceuta and resulted in the death of approximately one hundred people. This came after the Moroccan official narrative, which attempted to downplay the scale of the catastrophe. She expressed her sorrow and concern over the humanitarian tragedy, emphasizing the importance of all parties taking responsibility and not ignoring the event's repercussions. She also reaffirmed that Spain's unity and sovereignty over Ceuta and Melilla are inviolable, and that the two cities will remain under Spanish control—an assertion of the country's steadfast stance on these occupied territories.
